Waiting

Waiting for an impatient man is one of the most difficult things for me to do. Waiting seems to bring out the worst in me. (Hmmm.... maybe that is God's goal here, patience.) I find anger rising as I wait in the line at Walmart as the clerk can't preform their job to my standards. How about you, Do you get angry? Ever call AT&T for help and found yourself waiting and waiting and waiting for the "service" you need and finally get a person on the phone only to be put on hold and then have the call dropped? I get angry about that but God reminds me of how patient He has been with me in the past and even now.

The fruit of God's Spirit is, Love, Joy, Peace and then Patience. It is now 3 years since teaching the Bible in China. I ask God, "when are you sending me back?"... Well I am still waiting for that answer. His words come to me,  Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. (1 Timothy 4:13). So I am teaching on Saturday nights to pre-adolescent children at Calvary Chapel, Plantation FL.

It is amazing that as I teach God teaches me so much. There is power in the spoken word so go out yourselves and speak about what God has done in his-tory and in your life also. Abide in His words so you will not be spoken of by our Lord, "you seek to kill me because My Words have no place in you".

Be blessed today, Hank Stout
